Creative Content Producer and Designer

Dorothy experienced most of her childhood from the back of a horse. Whether she was helping her less-than-patient cowboy father round up cattle to ship out on tractor trailers or jumping creeks on her beloved buckskin Quarter Horse mare, Dorothy was nearly always in the saddle. And even as young as 10, she was monitoring prices through Superior Livestock Auction, which, in the early ’90s, was a groundbreaking innovation for selling cattle over the television.

Today Dorothy follows in the footsteps of her agricultural ancestors, who emigrated to the United States from Ireland around 1732, settling in what is now known as Highland County, Virginia. Highland is not just Dorothy’s ancestral home, however. She still lives there, raising cattle on the same land her family has worked for six generations.

When she isn’t pulling calves, patching fences, or salting cows, Dorothy spends her time creating content, graphics, websites, and other marketing materials for an array of clients across industries ranging from agriculture to tourism.  She has written for a variety of publications including The Progressive Farmer, American Farriers Journal, and America’s Horse. While on assignment for America’s Horse, she had the opportunity to help drive cattle on a ranch in western Montana.

A critical member of TILL’s team, in both content and design, Dorothy sees her creative work as a natural extension of the life she leads outside the office working in the beef cattle industry.
